if it wasnt then blizzard wouldent have the support feature available for the in-game voice chat would they.

Blizzard Server =/= Private Server
In other words... there is no "Voice and Sound" On OUR server.. it's just "Sound". Simple enough to understand, yes?

As above, i didnt know blizzard implemented ingame voice, but havent played retail for over a year so wouldnt know

From my point of view, you made out you had no sound, so now your answer is no there is no ingame voice
